Why You Do The Greatest Work in The World

Healthcare, Hospital, Assisted Living and Nurses Associations

Healthcare, Hospital, Assisted Living and Nurses Associations Keynote programs by North Wood I have been the opening, closing or banquet keynote speaker for the following Health Care related associations: The California Assisted Living Association, California Association of Nurse Leaders, Wisconsin Assisted living Association Executives, Minnesota Organization of Nurse LeadersNew Mexico Health Information Management Association, Guardian Angels Homes Assisted Living, Florida Health Care Association, California Association of Healthcare Facilities, Kaiser Permanente Nursing Symposium, North Carolina Assisted Living Association, California Health Information Association, Daniel Freeman Hospitals, National Association for Persons in Supported Employment, New Mexico Health Care Association, Perioperative Nursing Symposium, Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, Alabama Association for Persons in Supported Employment and the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association.

At the age of 27, I contracted a staphylococcus aureus infection that attacked my heart and organs requiring open heart surgery to replace my aortic heart valve.  Recently, I survived a tear in my aorta because of a weakness created by my previous surgery and underwent emergency aortic dissection surgery.  I almost died and ended up needing months of rehab.  When speaking to health care related associations, I talk about the vital importance the nurses, staff and caregivers had in my recovery and in my life.  I feel it is important to get perspective and appreciation from the patient’s point of view.  This inspirational program will remind the workers that they do the greatest work in the world and why they should be proud each and every day of their contributions.  Musical examples are performed throughout the talk to illustrate points and ideas and the presentation ends with an exciting and moving finale.  This presentation is guaranteed to make the attendees feel very good about themselves and what they do. Talent simply means the ability to do something very well very quickly.  I understand how to train individuals to discover and master their own talent and how to use that talent to be the best they can be in their profession.  I will dramatically impact the members who attend my event and what’s even more important is that the value of my presentation extends long after the event has past.  The programs I have designed for health care related organizations are: “Why You do the Greatest Work in the World” and “The Joy of Hard Work and Commitment”.  Music is a major part of my presentation. I perform a flashy showpiece and a beautiful melodic selection at the end of my talk as a finale.  This program also includes unique and artistic approaches to reaching goals which include: How to Create Your Vision, How to Discover Your Own Talent and Abilities, Understanding the Nature of Personal Change and How to Deal with Adversity in Difficult Working Environments.  I have just had a book published that will be released March 1, 2016 I also perform music during my presentations to illustrate my points and as people are entering and being seated.  I usually open or close.  All music is complete with accompaniment.

“Your keynote and subsequent breakout session was truly the highlight of the day.  Our attendees absolutely loved your presentation and and your wonderful ability to blend music with such an important message.  Our attendees truly walked away with the knowledge that they really DO the greatest work in the world.  Opening the morning with your warm up session was a brilliant idea.  It welcomed them into the room with such beauty and grace that it set the stage for the entire day.  We have had such positive, warm, wonderful and verbal feedback from our attendees, we cannot wait until the online evaluations are completed.  Please accept our deepest thanks for a wonderful Conference!”  Cheryl Ann Widmire, Project Manager, Kaiser Permanente Nursing Symposium

“We recently had the privilege of having North Wood out to our NMHiMA conference.  North came to us as our keynote speaker and was one of the best openers we’ve had in years.  He spoke to us about finding our talents, utilizing his violin and his experiences to engage the attendees and provide them with new and useful ways of finding their abilities.  We were truly pleased from the responses we received and are very appreciative to North for coming out to work with us.  If there are future events, we would recommend that North be a part of those events.  We have received nothing but complements.  It was a true pleasure.”  Vicki Delgado, President, New Mexico Health Information Management Association

“Your talent amazed us and your combination of music and motivational speaking exceeded all our expectations. Your presentation was spectacular. The folks in Alabama are still talking about the “Night at the Oscars” awards banquet. Your participation in this event was the crowning touch to a stunning evening.
